Notice:

This version of the Video Features will only work with:

- ThinkPad A30, A30p system BIOS version 1.14 (or higher) 
- ThinkPad X22, X23, X24 system BIOS version 1.26 (or higher). 

Please get the additonal package, ThinkPad BIOS Update Diskette or 
Non-Diskette and update the BIOS in the system with it at the same 
time.

What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides the display driver for Windows XP users.
This package enables or updates the display function of the following
ThinkPad computers:

  - ThinkPad A30, A30p
  - ThinkPad X22, X23, X24

To determine if you have to update the display driver or not, refer to
the "Summary of Changes" section.

To update the display driver, please refer to the "Installation 
Instructions" section.

 -(Fix) Error message appears when changing display device while 3D
        screen saver is running.

 -(Fix) LCD screen flash intermittently appears on ThinkPad A30/A30p
        LCD SXGA+/UXGA model.

 -(Fix) Blue screen appears at resume from suspend/hibernation after
        detaching external CRT using dual display(extended desktop).
 -(Fix) The screen gets blank screen at Fn+F7(screen switching)
        after restarting system and detaching external CRT in dual
        display(extended desktop).

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
 1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract the video drivers to the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WXP\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE to
    install the video driver. Click OK to start the installation 
    process.  If you extracted the files to a different location, 
    specify that location instead.
 5. When the Welcome window appears, click the Next button.
 6. At the Software Licence Agreement screen, if you agree, click Yes.
 7. At the Setup Complete screen, select Yes, I want to restart my
    computer now.
 8. Click Finish, then reboot the system.

Unattended install:
 1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. Run SETUP.EXE in extracted folder with /K /SMS option.
    For example,
      C:\DRIVERS\VIDEO\SETUP.EXE /K /SMS

Determining which version is installed:
 1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
 2. Click Appearance and Themes.
 3. Click Display.
 4. Select Settings.
 5. Click Advanced.
 6. Select Options. It is described at Product Version in Version
    Information.
