	PHSS_18249:
	Id = NSMex02457, NSMex02350
	    If client name for Sybase database is 30 characters
	    long, backup fails.

	Id = NSMbb22179
	    sybackup.sh.temp script reports the error:
	     "Dataserver is not running."

	Id = NSMex02729
	    Sybase restore fails with an error:
	     "OB2BAR set "<OBJECT ID>" not found in the OB2
	      database."

	PHSS_15772:
	Id = NSMex01365
	   Syb_tool coredumped during query on HP-UX 10.x.

	PHSS_14339:
	Id = NSMex00990
	   Sybase backup hung.

	Id = NSMex01079
	   Sybase restore to the host different than the backed
	   up host failed.

Defect Description:
	PHSS_18249:
	Id = NSMex02457, NSMex02350
	    OB2 Sybase integration is using end of string character
	    for determining the Sybase database name. If the name
	    is 30 characters long, then next string is added to the
	    name, so the name becomes corrupted.

	    Part of the SSP255_142.
	Resolution:
	    Fix is implemented in libob2syb.sl.

	Id = NSMbb22179
	    sybackup.sh.temp script does not correctly check the
	    input variables. Even when more than one dataserver is
	    running on one machine, it reports the error:
	      "Dataserver is not running".

	    Part of the SSP255_117.
	Resolution:
	    The script now identifies the dataserver and checks
	    if it is running. After that the connection to the
	    server is established.

	Id = NSMex02729
	    If the backup of the Sybase is made on different
	    hostnames, but the same Sybase Server name and database
	    name, then the restore fails with an error:
	      "OB2BAR set "<OBJECT ID>" not found in the OB2
	       database."

	Resolution:
	    Fix is implemented in libob2syb.sl.

	PHSS_15772:
	Id = NSMex01365
	   Syb_tool coredumped during query on HP-UX 10.x when
	   there were more than 150 Sybase sessions in the
	   database.
	   Part of SSP255_58.

	PHSS_14339:
	Id = NSMex00990
	   An abort of a media agent caused the whole sybase
	   backup session to hang.
	   Part of SSP255_05.

	Id = NSMex01079
	   Sybase restore failed if the hostname of the target
	   host was different than the backed up hostname while
	   the object name was the same. The problem has been
	   observed in the Service Guard environment.
	   Part of SSP255_14.

	1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

	2. Login as root.

	3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

	4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

		cd /tmp
		sh PHSS_18249

	5a. For a standalone system, run swinstall to install the
	    patch:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x match_target=true \
			-s /tmp/PHSS_18249.depot

	By default swinstall will archive the original software in
	/var/adm/sw/patch/PHSS_18249.  If you do not wish to retain a
	copy of the original software, you can create an empty file
	named /var/adm/sw/patch/PATCH_NOSAVE.

	WARNING: If this file exists when a patch is installed, the
	         patch cannot be deinstalled.  Please be careful
		 when using this feature.

	It is recommended that you move the PHSS_18249.text file to
	/var/adm/sw/patch for future reference.

	To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
	tape drive, use the command:

		dd if=/tmp/PHSS_18249.depot of=/dev/rmt/0m bs=2k

Special Installation Instructions:
	PHSS_18249:
	NOTE!
	Patch has to be installed on the Cell Server host.

	The Sybase packet needs to be redistributed to the
	appropriate systems, where the Sybase Clients are
	installed, from within the "Cell Administration
	- Install" window of the OmnibackII graphical user
	interface before the patch modifications take effect.

	NOTE!
	Be sure that no Sybase backup or restore is running
	while you distribute the packet to the Sybase client.

	NOTE!
	In order to resolve Defect with Id NSMex01079,
	OMNIBACK II A.02.55 CS packet patch PHSS_14853 or later
	has to be installed.
