Symptoms:
        PHKL_5306:
        If an EISA SCSI card is saturating the EISA bus, then the
        following messages may appear on the console, related to the
        NCR 53700-based CORE SCSI:

        SCSI: humoring - bus = ..., tgt = ..., sbcl = ..., dsp = ...
        SCSI: bus timeout - bus = ...

        Any tape operations in progress will fail, and disk
        operations will be retried, and likely will succeed.

Defect Description:
        PHKL_5306:
        The scsi_c700 driver has a timing window, wherein the
        NCR53700 chip could be reselected, while it was trying to
        abort a WAIT RESELECT This window is very small if no EISA
        SCSI is present.  But, with a EISA SCSI card, the EISA bus
        could saturate the system bus and in turn increase the
        window between testing if the 700 chip is connected to the
        bus and setting the abort bit.

        The fix:
        When tne NCR53700 chip is reselected, then an interrupt is
        taken.  This eliminates the timing window, wherein we could
        end up humoring a device unncessarily.

        1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

        2. Login as root.

        3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

        4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

                cd /tmp
                sh PHKL_5306

        5. Run swinstall to install the patch:

                swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x match_target=true
                        -s /tmp/PHKL_5306.depot

        By default swinstall will archive the original software in
        /var/adm/sw/patch/PHKL_5306.  If you do not wish to retain a
        copy of the original software, you can create an empty file
        named /var/adm/sw/patch/PATCH_NOSAVE.

        Warning: If this file exists when a patch is installed, the
                 patch cannot be deinstalled.  Please be careful
                 when using this feature.

        It is recommended that you move the PHKL_5306.text file to
        /var/adm/sw/patch for future reference.

        To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
        tape drive, use the command:

                swpackage -s /tmp/PHKL_5306.depot -x
                        target_type=tape -d /dev/rmt/0m PHKL_5306
