Bulletin Board Menus:
---------------------
These are v7.5s subboards.The menu is the SAME as E-Mail with the following
three exceptions:
1-B displays the bulletins pertaining to this board or topic.These are the old
sb# files.There are now a total of 6 subboards so there will be 6 sb# menus.
Each correspond to the numbers 1-6 which may be entered here or on the main
menu for direct access.
2-Z Cycles the message base changing the number of available messages to the
same number actually left on the disk for this subboard.
Z is only visible to those with sysop access.
Replies always stay in the same subboard and are open messages.W will allow
you to leave a private message in the subboard.
3-ALL letters a-p are available as bulletins.They will be named on your disk
with the letter of the bulletin and the number of the sub-board.
Example:a1 on your disk should be the bulletin A called from the menu on sb#1.
The following letters are ALWAYS equal to this:
Q=Main Menu
R=Paging Routine Toggle (See Below)
S=Sign Off
T=Message Menu for the sub-board
====================
Paging Toggle
====================
Added to the bulletins (bulld) menu and all subboard menus (sb#1,2,3,etc) this
letter (R) when pressed by the user will toggle the paging routine on or off.
Paging is defaulted to on and will display 20 lines of a file then prompt the
user if he/she would like:More (y,n,s);If paging is left on.
If the user pressed y he/she will be shown 20 more lines.n will abort the read
and s will scroll straight thru the file.Paging toggled off will show each file
as though scroll had been selected.
--------------------
                                                                                File Transfer Menu:
-------------------
Here the user may upload or download programs or seq. files using either xmodem
or punter transfers.A user with low sysop status (7xx,8xx) may upload files to
the file disk...actual files the bbs may use if they are stored under a bbs
file name.
Any file uploaded to any drive whose first characte is a back arrow will be
invisible when a directory is listed to all but those with sysop access.
This version supports up to 9 transfer libs. (drives 9 thru 17).The program
automaticlly senses the presense of single drives.
If you are using an interface your interface must return a negative number when
a non plugged in drive is accessed.
==============================================================================
Misc.
==============================================================================
Access Codes:
The first number of the access code is the highest transfer library the user
has access to.i.e. 100 gives access to ONLY the first transfer Library.
This first number also denotes sysop access.
7 allows access to the file disk for uploading and downloading
8 allows access to cycle in the Message boards and read and delete access in
them
9 denotes FULL sysop status and access to ALL features of the bbs including
writing files on the E-Mail menu.
The second number is the highest read access the user has to a bulletin section.
The third number is the highest write access the user has to bulletin boards.
An accesscode of 966 is FULL sysop access.
-------
'u0>m1' at the disk utilities dos command option if you are using 1571's
and the full 1571 disk will be available to that drive.
-------
RIBIT will read any file that is stored as a seq. file.This means that you can
use your favorite word proc. or any of the fine graphic writer programs
available to write files for the bbs.(I reccommend Grafics Magic).
-------
The pageing routine for the file reader is set to 20 lines in this version.
-------
A user can batch thru mail to multiple usernames if they supply the additional
usernames when prompted.The identical message will be sent to the new username.

Ribiterm 7.5a
==============================================================================
This terminalcontains both a color and an ascii terminal.Default is color.
To change the default simply press F2 before dialling a data terminal.
The dialer works with the 1650 and compatables,the 1660 and compatables,and the
1670 and compatables.Both Punter and Xmodem are available for protocol transfer
The terminal contains a file reader that will print to either screen or printer.When first run the program will ask you what type modem you are using.If you
select the 1670 the program will default to 1200 baud tho this may be changed
on the main menu.Selecting either of the other 2 modems will cause the program
to always to default to 300 baud when run.
The phone book now contains a prompt to store the baud rate for the bbs in the
the phone book.Admittedly this is limited in value to 1670 users but you MUST
enter the correct baud rate as the terminal will set itself to that baud when a
Phone Book # is dialed.
To dial a stored number enter:# + the phone book number
To dial any other number just enter it and press return.
