Enhancements/Fixes:

The release of the Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0,
Version 2.07 Revision B, primarily supports the new Compaq Cluster
Verification Utility, the updated Compaq Fibre Channel Filter Driver,
and the updated Compaq Fibre Channel Host Controllers SCSI Miniport Driver.

Compaq Cluster Verification Utility (CCVU.EXE)
Added the new Compaq Cluster Verification Utility (CCVU), which aids
administrators in diagnosing their setup to determine if it is suitable
for use with Microsoft Cluster Server.

NOTE: There are known issues with the Compaq Cluster Verification
Utility (CCVU) not working properly with non-English versions of
NTS/E 4.0. Please use CCVU with the English version of NTS/E 4.0
only. This issue will be resolved in a later revision of the SSD.

Compaq Fibre Channel Filter Driver (CPQFCFTR.SYS)
Updated the Compaq Fibre Channel Filter driver from version 1.00 to 1.01.
This updated driver contains enhancements to support Microsoft Cluster
  Server.

Compaq Fibre Channel Host Controllers SCSI Miniport Driver (CPQFCALM.SYS)
Updated the Compaq Fibre Channel Host Controllers SCSI Miniport driver from
  version 1.00 to 1.01.

Added enhancements to support Microsoft Cluster Server.

Fixed a problem with an adapter check, which intermittently occurred when
the power was turned off if a controller was installed in a PCI hot-plug
  slot.

Changed the behavior of the driver when a controller in a PCI hot-plug slot
fails or has power removed. Previous versions of the driver may cause the
I/O subsystem to hang if an I/O to a controller was stalled for too long.
The following instances describe the modified behavior:
    1) If a controller fails, the driver will return errors for any active
I/Os as well as any new I/Os that are sent to the controller. The
driver will continue to return errors for the failed controller until
       it is replaced.

    2) If power is turned off to a controller that has not failed, then the
driver will stall the I/O to the controller for approximately 60
seconds. If power is not restored to the slot within 60 seconds,
the driver will switch to returning errors. Once power to the slot
is restored, then the driver will continue normal operation for the
       controller.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for
the files, or default to the download directory.
The following files will be created:
       README.TXT
       NTSSD.EXE

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the
self-extracting executable:
       NTSSD.EXE [ENTER]

5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support
software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program
SETUP.EXE to install the software.
