DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq is for Japanese products, and cannot be run
in United States mode. This SoftPaq creates two files -- a description
file and a large self-extracting executable file. The self-extracting
executable file contains Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows

Compaq Remote Insight Board Driver (CPQRIB.SYS)
Updated the Compaq Remote Insight Board driver from version 1.24 to
1.25. This updated driver corrects an issue with the previous
Compaq Remote Insight Board driver not loading on a Compaq ProLiant
7000 configured with 2.1 GB of memory. It would only load on a Compaq
ProLiant 7000 if the system had less than 2 GB of memory.
Compaq System Management Driver (SYSMGMT.SYS)
Updated the Compaq System Management driver version from 3.00.01 to
3.03.01.
Added support for the Compaq Professional Workstation AP400.
Diamond Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Graphics Controller (ESPC2.SYS)
Updated the Diamond Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Graphics Controller
driver from version 2.1.0.6 to 2.1.0.17. This updated driver
corrects a Softimage problem of the background picture disappearing
when zooming into the scene and an ICEM-Surf problem of lower
performance when moving the cursor into the window.
ELSA GLoria-Synergy + 3D Graphics Controller (EGLPM.SYS)
Added support for the new ELSA GLoria-Synergy + 3D Graphics Controller's
video display driver for Windows NT 4.0. This new driver supports
both the Synergy PCI and the new Permedia 2A (P2A/P2V) AGP adapter
found on the new Compaq Professional Workstation AP400.
ESS 1868 AudioDrive Sound Controller (AUDDRIVE.SYS)
Updated the ESS 1868 AudioDrive Sound Controller driver from version
2.00.79 to 2.00.82. This updated driver adds support for the ESS 1869
Sound Controller found on the new Compaq Professional Workstation
AP400.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for
the files, or default to the download directory.
The following files will be created:
README.TXT
NTSSD.EXE
3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the
self-extracting executable:
NTSSD.EXE [ENTER]
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support
software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program
SETUP.EXE to install the software.
