DESCRIPTION:
Unpacks the files needed to create a bootable Compaq Server
Diagnostics diskette, which supports ALL currently shipping Systems Division  
server products.  It is installed on the Diagnostics Partition for those
systems which support it and have hard drives.  It is shipped as a
diskette on all other products.
A Compaq Server Diagnostics diskette contains programs that can perform the 
following tasks on Compaq Systems Division server products:
 - TEST 
 - INSPECT (display machine config) 


Enhancements/fixes:
 - Support for 500 and 550 MHz Pentium III processor upgrades
   for ProLiant 400 and Prosignia 720.
 - Support for 550 MHz Pentium III processor upgrades for ProLiant 800,
   1600, 1850, 3000, 5500, ProSignia 740.
 - Added support for testing memory above 4GB address range.
 - Fixed potential multiple date rollover issue when running Diagnostics overnight.  
 - Enhancements to ProLiant 5000 CPU testing and CPU information display format.


HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory 
folder in the download directory.  All files are unpacked into this 
newly created directory.

3. To create the Diagnostics diskette, run MAKEDISK.BAT and 
follow on-screen instructions.

4. After the Diagnostic diskette has been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1, as well as the directory
folder and files created in step 2.

5. Power down the system.

6. Place the newly created Diagnostics diskette in Drive A:, and 
power up the system.
