DESCRIPTION: Unpacks the files needed to install a Windows 95 application
program that detects the type of graphics controller in Deskpro and ProLinea
computers and installs the appropriate Windows 95 video driver that supports it.
It is intended for the models and graphics controllers listed above.
New features for this version include:
- SETUPUDM runs either directly from hard drive or diskette
- Allows SETUPUDM.EXE to run from a directory other than the current directory
- Insures that the exiting dialog box comes out on the top window

Video drivers included in this SoftPaq:
Deskpro 2000/4000 Windows 95 Graphics Drivers (SoftPaq SP3761)
Matrox Millennium, Ver 3.53.016 (SoftPaq SP3814)
Matrox Qvision 2000/2000+. Ver 2.01 (Softpaq SP1493)

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your
hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete
path of the directory as a parameter:

     SPxxxx <path>

Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into the download
directory or the directory specified.

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. The application may be installed directly from the files on the
download directory or a set of diskettes can be created.
To create a set of diskettes, run MAKEDISK.BAT.
To start the application, select Start, Run.
Then type the path to the download directory and the application
name (SETUPUDM.EXE).
Example:
   c:\<path>\setupudm
Press the Enter key or click OK.

To run the application from diskette, put the first diskette created
by running MAKEDISK.BAT into the diskette drive. Select Start, Run and
type the diskette drive path and the application name (SETUPUDM.EXE).
Example:
   a:\setupudm
Press the Enter key or click OK.

5. The Universal Driver Manager detects the current display adapter
and checks to see if it is a supported graphics controller. If the
currently active graphics controller in the system is not a
supported controller (see above list), an error message is displayed.

6. If a supported controller is found, a message is displayed
showing which one was found. Select OK to start installing the driver.
Follow the on-screen instructions and reboot the system to activate
the new driver.

7. After the driver has been installed, you may delete the files
from the download directory if you wish.
