DESCRIPTION:  HP Systems Insight Manager 5.0 SP3

   This softpaq updates HP Systems Insight Manager 5.0 (or '5.0 with SP1' or 
   '5.0 with SP2') to '5.0 with SP3'. 

   The following fixes are included to update '5.0 with SP2' to '5.0 with SP3':
     - Miscellaneous bug fixes.

   The following fixes are included to update '5.0 with SP1' to '5.0 with SP2':
     - Fixed SIM trust issue where trust with managed systems was sometimes 
       broken and could not be established even though it was properly 
       configured.
     - Fixed the "invalid credentials" problem that prevented HP SIM 
       installation when the Windows security policy on the database 
       system was configured as follows: 
           Network security: LAN Manager authentication level =
              Send NTLMv2 response only/refuse LM & NTLM 
       NOTE: For remote databases, the Windows security policy on the 
       Central Management Server (CMS) must also be configured the same. 
       Refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base article 823659. 
     - Fixed problems with the HP SIM installer not accepting some valid 
       characters for passwords and account names.  This issue has been 
       greatly improved, but there are still some potential problems with 
       passwords or account names that contain spaces.

   All '5.0 SP1' fixes are also included:
     - Fixes for initial Storage Essentials integration.

                                              
HOW TO USE:

1. Ensure that you are logged in to Windows with a user account that 
   is a member of the "Administrators" group and that the user
   account also has Systems Insight Manager administrative privileges.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive (other than
   the root of the drive) and change to that directory.  The file 
   that is downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
   based on the SoftPaq number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
   and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files and
   install the softpaq.  Note that it will stop and restart
   the Systems Insight Manager service and other services that use Systems
   Insight Manager during this process.  The entire update could take 
   about 30 minutes.

4. After a successful installation, you may delete the self-extracting
   file and the files unpacked in step 3 if you wish.
