TITLE: HPQFlash Utility for HP Compaq Business Notebook nx7000 and Presario X1000

DESCRIPTION:
This SoftPaq creates files that contain the HPQFlash utility and a binary image
of the System ROM for the notebook models listed below with a 68BAL Family ROM. The
HPQFlash utility is used to locally flash the System ROM on PCs through a
Windows environment. The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running
the Setup Utility by pressing F10 on the target computer during system power
on of the computer, and viewing File/System Information.

   menu.

HOW TO USE: 

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary empty directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on
the
SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. After the system has been shutdown, you may delete all temporary files
and the SoftPaq file downloaded in step 1.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!
