WordPerfect 6.0 & 5.1 for DOS

This WordPerfect driver disk supports FS-Series models FS-400A,
FS-850, FS-1500A, FS-1550A, FS-1600A, FS-3400A, FS-3500A,
FS-3600A, FS-5500, FS-6500. In addition to WordPerfect 5.1 and
6.0 for DOS, these drivers can be used for the Windows version of
WordPerfect, as a substitute for the Windows driver.

Note that the WordPerfect 5.1 drivers will not be supporting the
SO-6 sorter/stacker.

WordPerfect 5.1 

Instructions for copying the files from the
driver diskette to your hard disk:

A) From the DOS prompt (in the WP51 directory), type:
       COPY WP51?S.ALL WP51?S.OLD [press Enter]
     
   Don't worry if you receive an error message, this command is
   used to make a backup of the previous drivers (if they exist). 

   If you do not want to make backups, you may ignore this step. 

B) With the driver disk in Drive A, at a DOS prompt (in the
   WP51 directory), type:
       COPY A:WP51*.ALL [press Enter]


WordPerfect 6.0 

Instructions for copying the files from the
driver diskette to your hard disk:

A) From the DOS prompt (in the WPC60DOS directory), type:
       COPY WP60?S.ALL WP60?S.OLD [press Enter]
     
   Don't worry if you receive an error message, this command is
   used to make a backup of the previous drivers (if they exist). 

   If you do not want to make backups, you may ignore this step. 
   
B) With the driver disk in Drive A, at a DOS prompt (in the
   WPC60DOS directory), type:
       COPY A:WP60*.ALL [press Enter]


To install the FS-Series drivers in WordPerfect 6.0 or 5.1, 
follow the instructions below:

1.  Start WordPerfect

2.  Press Shift-F7 (Print/Fax Menu)

3.  Press S  (Select)

4.  Press A  (Add Printer)

5.  Select the desired FS-Series Printer

6.  Click on OK

7.  Click on Close

8.  At the Edit Printer Set-up Menu, users can select printer
ports, FS-Series sheetfeeders, font set-up, and a path to a
directory of soft fonts.

9. When Edit Printer Set-up is complete, click on OK then click
on Select to choose the new FS-Series printers.

10. Click on Close to exit the Print/Fax menu. Installation is
now complete.

The FS-1500A and FS-3500A differ in regard to font options and
memory capacity. Sheetfeeder definitions, supported page sizes,
and other option support are identical.

The FS-Series resident bitmap fonts can be found in a cartridge
called FS-Series Resident Bitmap Fonts. The fonts can be added to
the general font list individually or in total as described
below.

Installation Instructions for the Resident Bitmap Fonts

1.  Press Shift-F7 (Select Printer). Select your model FS-Series  
    printer. 

2.  Press E (Edit), press F (Font Set-up), 
    press C (Cartridges/Fonts/Printwheels)

3.  Highlight Cartridge, press E (Edit)

4.  With FS-Series Resident Bitmap Fonts highlighted, press E     
    (Edit). Mark all fonts with Home,* or select the resident     
    bitmap fonts individually.


Installation Instructions for the Custom Font ROM

1.  Press Shift-F7 (Select Printer). Select your model FS-Series  
    printer. 

2.  Press E (Edit), press F (Font Set-up), 
    press C (Cartridges/Fonts/Printwheels)

3.  Highlight the Optional ROM category

4.  Press E (Edit)

5.  Place an asterisk next to "Kyocera FS-1500A (Optional ROM)"

6.  Press S (Select)

7.  Click on Close until all the menus are closed.

When the optional fonts are highlighted under the Fonts Menu,
they will be identified as Slot Fonts.


SO-6 Sorter/Stacker Option

To use the sorting and grouping functions for the SO-6
sorter/stacker in WordPerfect 6.0, the user must specify that,
under the Print/FAX Menu, the number of copies is generated by
the printer (Shift-F7 E P).
